The 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil is the most-watched sporting event on earth, and the official app had to handle the traffic of a final.
About the brand
The official FIFA World Cup app was released in December 2013 and fully updated for the 2014 tournament in Brazil. It gave fans live coverage of all 64 games, news, photos and videos, real-time voting for Man of the Match, tournament stats, the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking and scores from 197 leagues, plus a social feed for FIFA's Global Stadium.
